The new tvN drama, You and Everything Else, promises to be a poignant tale of friendship, love and the complexity of human relationships. Carried by Kim Go-eun and Park Ji-hyunThis emotional fresco traces several decades of intertwined lives, between passion and resentment.
A friendship as beautiful as it is painful
The story follows Eun Jung (Kim Go-eun) and Sang Yeon (Park Ji-hyun), two friends who have become inseparable since adolescence. Their bond, based on admiration but also jealousy, strengthens and cracks over the years.
The first images reveal memories of their youth, including their meeting with Kim Sang-hak (Kim Gun-woo) in a photography club, but also darker moments where tensions dominate.
Lives shaped by those around them
The drama also focuses on the figures who have marked their careers. They include Cheon Sang-hak (Kim Jae-won), Sang Yeon's older brother, who has given teenage Eun Jung (Do Yeong-seo) some precious souvenirs. Sang Yeon's mother, Yoon Hyun-sook (Seo Jeong-yeon), for her part, seems to represent a source of family conflict. While Sang Yeon suffers from a lack of love, Eun Jung benefits from the affection of those around her, further emphasizing their contrast.

An unexpected visit by Sang Yeon to Eun Jung's home, marked by surprise but also palpable embarrassment, hints at the evolution of their relationship. Sang Yeon's frailer appearance at this age illustrates the wounds accumulated over the decades.

With the presence of characters such as the director Kyung Seung-joo (Lee Sang Yoon), who worked with the 2 women in their adult lives, You and Everything Else promises to paint a rich, nuanced portrait of women's friendships, their strengths and weaknesses.
