Netflix has confirmed that You and Everything Elsehis new melodrama starring Kim Go-eun and Park Ji-hyunwill be available worldwide from September 12, 2025. The platform has unveiled a teaser and poster that promise an intense story of tenderness and resentment.
The synopsis
The series follows Eun Jung (Kim Go-eun) and Sang Yeon (Park Ji-hyun)2 friends who have been friends since their teens, and who have always admired each other... but have always been deeply jealous of each other. Their relationship, made up of complicity and rivalry, spans the years until the day when one asks the other to stay by her side for her last moments.
The teaser opens with Sang Yeon telling Eun Jung, "I hate that you're okay. I want to see you broken, like me," while Eun Jung bitterly retorts, "If you knew how radiant you were, you wouldn't do this." We see the evolution of their friendship, from childhood to 2 definitive breaks that drive them apart.
Through poignant lines, the heroines reveal the mixture of admiration and inferiority complex that punctuated their bond: "When I'm with Sang Yeon, everything I have seems insignificant," confides Eun Jung. "That's when I knew I could never surpass her," admits Sang Yeon.
