Kim Da-mi could soon be back with a particularly memorable role. The actress is currently in talks to play the heroine of the drama “The Obedient Killer”(working title), a project with a dark, original tone.
On April 3, media outlet MyDaily revealed that she had received an offer for the lead role. Her agency cautiously confirmed, “This is one of the projects she is currently considering.”
The drama is already attracting attention with its intriguing concept and acclaimed creative team.
From ordinary life to unexpected destiny
Set between the 1970s and 1980s, “The Obedient Killer” follows the journey of a woman whose dream was simply to become a devoted wife and mother.
But after her divorce, her life is turned upside down. To survive, she joins a suspicious company that claims to help women enter the job market. It's here that this discreet woman, accustomed to living without making a fuss or leaving a trace, discovers an unexpected ability: to eliminate a person without leaving the slightest trace.
Kim Da-mi has been offered the role of Go Dal-boon, a former housewife who embarks on this dangerous activity with a clear objective: to find her young daughter.
A project supported by a solid team
The drama will be developed by Kang Eun-kyung, known for “Dr. Romantic” and “Gyeongseong Creature”, with a script by Joo Hwa-mi (“The Atypical Family”) and directed by Lee Jung-heum (“Our Movie”).
With such a concept and an experienced team, “The Obedient Killer” could offer Kim Da-mi a particularly intense role, different from her previous projects.
