The new teaser for JTBC's eagerly-awaited drama reveals an atmosphere charged with emotion and nostalgia, A Hundred Memories, which goes on air on September 13. Set in the 1980s, this romantic series follows the first love affairs of two young women working as bus hostesses, Go Young-rye (played by Kim Da-mi) and Seo Jong-hee (played by Shin Ye-eun), both of whom fall in love with the same man: Han Jae-pil (played by Heo Nam-joon).
In this trailer, Young Rye's day-to-day life is brought to light. Just a few hours before dawn, she gets up to start her day, her face still marked by the weight of her family's responsibilities. The eldest of her siblings, serious and hard-working, she seems resigned to a life without surprises... until the day Jae Pil bursts into her world.
The teaser perfectly captures this suspended moment when everything changes: Jae Pil gently bandages Young Rye's injured hand, a simple but deeply moving gesture. The young woman's eyes light up, as if frozen in time. Troubled by this encounter, she carefully keeps the towel he used, refusing to share it with anyone. Even her colleague Jong Hee understands that something has changed: "It must be because of a boy," she says mischievously.
As Young Rye tries to deny the obvious, her shy smile and heartbeat betray her. And Jae Pil, far from being a mere passenger in her life, becomes an unexpected support. When her mother falls ill, he's the first to come to her aid. When she collapses, he gently pulls his beret over her head, offering her a discreet escape to weep without restraint.
Jae Pil's every gesture reinforces this sense of destiny. The burgeoning love is palpable, almost painful, especially in a scene where he leans in close to kiss her... The thrill of first love, both sweet and burning, takes hold of the viewer.
With A Hundred Memories, JTBC promises a vintage romance full of tenderness and intensity, carried by a trio of undeniably charming actors. A must-see drama for lovers of sensitive, heartfelt stories.
