Première nuit avec le Duc (in French) / The first night with the duke (for the international title) is a k-drama broadcast from June 11, 2025 on Viki.
In this fantasy drama, a modern-day student finds her soul suddenly transported into the body of Cha Sun-chaek (played by Seo-hyun), a secondary character in her favorite web novel, a work of historical fantasy. Thinking she can observe history from the sidelines, Sun Chaek is quickly caught up by fate: after a night of drunkenness, she meets the gaze of Prince Yi Beon (played by Taecyeon), the novel's cold, charismatic hero. Against all odds, they spend the night together... and when they wake up, Yi Beon demands that they get married!
This twist jeopardizes the whole plot of the novel: Yi Beon was supposed to fall in love with Jo Eun-ae (Kwon Han-sol), the original heroine. Sun Chaek desperately tries to put things right... but Yi Beon, in love with her, upsets the story as she knew it. The dilemma is clear: Should she return to her reality and let the story take its course? Or let herself be carried away by this new version, with an unexpected but perhaps happier ending?
Adapted from Hwang Do Tol's webtoon, this series blends romance, humor and reflections on destiny with a modern touch and lots of charm.
