Fantastic historical drama Moon River has just unveiled a new teaser packed with tension and emotion.
The series will tell the story of Crown Prince Lee Kang (played by Kang Tae-oh), a man who has lost his smile, and Park Dal-yi (played by Kim Se-jeong), a merchant who has lost her memory. Their lives are turned upside down the day their souls are exchanged, plunging the kingdom into chaos.
The teaser opens with Lee Kang consumed by vengeance against left-wing advisor Kim Han-cheol (played by Jin Goo), who gives him a chilling warning. The prince's line, "The Crown Princess is none other than the daughter of the Left Councillor", reveals how Kim Han-cheol, a figure of absolute authority, manipulates even the royal family to his will.
The plot suggests that Kim Han-cheol is implicated not only in the deposition of Lee Kang's beloved concubine, but also in the death of his mother. When Park Dal-yi, who bears an uncanny resemblance to this concubine, catches his eye, he coldly rebuffs her: "You're an eyesore."
Faced with him, Lee Kang opts for direct confrontation: "My strategy will be a frontal attack." Kim Han-cheol, for his part, uses every possible means to fulfill his ambition.
This opposition between Prince Lee Kang's burning anger and the Kim Han-cheol's chilling composure promises a fascinating, palate-shaking duel.
Moon River will be broadcast from October 31st and will be available on Viki (under the name La rivière sous la lune in France.
