tvN's upcoming drama « My Favorite Employee »is beginning to take shape. On January 29, the production made its main cast official, bringing together Kang Hoon, Kim Hye-joon and Cha Woo-min for an office romance inspired by a popular webtoon. The series is due to air in the second half of 2026.
The story follows Nam Da-reum, a young woman who joins a company with a very specific goal: to get closer to her lifelong idol. But her plan quickly becomes complicated when she attracts the attention of her boss, turning both her professional and emotional life upside down.
A charismatic CEO and an unusual recruit
Kang Hoon plays Kang Ha-gi, Apello's CEO, a fast-growing fashion start-up. Cold and methodical on the surface, he actually hides a warmer personality. A demanding and rigorous manager, he runs his company with almost implacable precision... until the arrival of a new recruit upsets his equilibrium.
Facing him, Kim Hye-joon plays Nam Da-reum, an entry-level employee who didn't join Apello out of classic ambition.
