The historical drama « The Secret Records of Suseong Palace »(literal title) is set to reunite 2 highly-anticipated faces of the new generation. Kang Hoon and Chae Won-bin have been confirmed to headline this courtly romance where letters, secrets and forbidden feelings intertwine behind palace walls.

A crown prince troubled by a mysterious feather
Kang Hoon plays Crown Prince Yi Hyang, the legitimate son of King Sejong. An heir of unquestionable legitimacy, he is described as a brilliant mind, equally at home in the arts and martial disciplines. A perfect figure, promised a smooth future... until he meets a simple court lady from the Suseong palace.
The latter, Yeo Un-yeong, is no ordinary servant. She is the anonymous author of daring writings that circulate discreetly within the palace, arousing fascination and controversy. Behind her words lies a rare sensitivity, capable of shaking the crown prince's all-too-smooth daily routine. Little by little, Yi Hyang discovers that the pen he admires so much belongs to the one who now shares his space, transforming a relationship of reader and author into a much more dangerous one.
Chae Won-bin, new heroine of forbidden love
Chae Won-bin lends her features to Yeo Un-yeong, a court lady and writer deemed «problematic» by the rigid codes of the royal court. Her character attracts attention for her intelligence and audacity, but also for the risks she takes in expressing her thoughts in a world where words can condemn as well as save.
After making a name for himself in 2024, Chae Won-bin continues his ascent with this central role, opposite Kang Hoon, who returns to the historical genre almost 5 years later. The Red Sleeve. Their meeting promises an alchemy of tension, intellectual curiosity and budding feelings, in a story where every letter exchanged can become evidence or a confession.
Directed by Park Soo-jin (Why Her, The Hymn of Death) and written by Lee Eun-mi, a graduate of a KOCCA-supported new talent program, The Secret Records of Suseong Palace will go into production once casting has been finalized.
