Actor Kang Ha-neul could soon return to the small screen in a new medical drama. According to information published on March 5 by the Korean media Segye Biz & Sports World, the actor has reportedly received an offer to play the title character in the series « Mind Doctor »and is currently considering the offer.
This new project would tell the story of an emotionally devoid genius surgeon who, after a shocking event, decides to give up his career to work in the psychiatric ward.
The story of a doctor's quest for transformation
In the drama, Kang Ha-neul could play Lee Si-chan, a character with a charming face but a difficult character. After a turbulent period during his internship years, he finally becomes a psychiatric resident.
The series will follow the character's evolution as he gradually learns to open his heart and understand the emotions of others, until he becomes a true «mind doctor».
The drama is adapted from a web novel of the same name, the story of which ended in 2022. Broadcast is planned for next year on MBC.

If Kang Ha-neul accepts the role, it will be his first medical drama. The actor, who began his career in 2007, already has a long track record of success in a variety of genres, from thrillers to romantic comedies.
