Just a few days before the launch of Would You Marry Mescheduled for October 10 on MBC, actress Jung So-min shared her enthusiasm and meticulous preparation for a role that promises to make audiences smile and melt. In this drama, she forms a fake couple with Choi Woo-shik, in a love story full of humor, challenges and unexpected complicity.

A fake wedding, a real immersion
In this romantic comedy with an original concept, Jung So-min plays Yoo Mary, a mischievous entrepreneur who proposes a 90-day fake wedding to Kim Woo-joo (Choi Woo-shik), heir to a prestigious Korean bakery. The aim? To win a luxurious house offered to the newlyweds. A contract that will obviously give rise to feelings that are more sincere than they thought...
For this role, the actress wanted to completely transform herself. "I wanted to show a different side of myself, inside and out", she confides. To achieve this, she went so far as to keep a diary in her character's name, and to stay in Yoo Mary's hometown to master the dialect perfectly. A complete immersion, a sign of her commitment to delivering a natural, touching performance.

Promising chemistry with Choi Woo-shik
One of the driving forces behind his decision to join the project? Working with both director Song Hyun-wook (Another Miss Oh) and actor Choi Woo-shik, whom she had long admired. "From the very first scene, our chemistry exceeded my expectations," she recounts, describing her partner as "an adorable puppy, full of humor and energy."
She also talks about her relationship with Seo Bum-june, who plays her ex-fiancé in the series. "He's sweet, kind, very mature. We got on quickly, a bit like brother and sister... but my real little brother isn't nearly as nice!" she jokes.
Convinced that the success of a rom-com rests on the complicity between the actors, Jung So-min hopes that the joyful energy of the shoot will be felt on screen: "This is a drama we can watch to laugh together. I'd like it to serve as a refuge for viewers in their busy daily lives."
See you on October 10 on SBS for the first episode (awaiting international broadcast).
