Fans of K-dramas could soon find a dream duo on the small screen: Jun Ji-hyun and Ji Chang-wook are said to be in advanced talks to share the bill for the next drama Human X Gumiho. According to several Korean media outlets, both actors are "positive" about their participation in this ambitious project, scheduled to be broadcast on JTBC, then internationally via Coupang Play and Amazon Prime Video.

A project by the screenwriter of Beauty Inside and Doom at Your Service

Human X Gumiho marks the return of screenwriter Im Me Ah-ri, former assistant to the renowned Kim Eun-sook (Goblin, Descendants of the Sun, The Glory). She is best known for her romantic stories tinged with fantasy and emotion, such as The Beauty Inside and Doom at Your Service. The series, co-produced by HighZium Studio and Contents Planner, is scheduled to run for 14 episodes and go into production in March 2026, although no release date has yet been announced.

A duo eagerly awaited by fans

If Jun Ji-hyun and Ji Chang-wook confirm their roles, Human X Gumiho will mark their second collaboration after the film Colony, currently shooting, alongside Koo Kyo-hwan, Kim Shin-rok, Shin Hyun-been and Go Soo.

The year 2025 is a particularly rich one for both stars: Jun Ji-hyun recently shone in the hit series Tempest on Disney+, where she shared the screen with Kang Dong-won and Park Hae-joon. For her part, Ji Chang-wook is also preparing her return to the platform with The Manipulated, a thriller starring Doh Kyung-soo (EXO) and Lee Kwang-soo.
