The actor Ju Ji-hoon may soon be joining a new drama project. According to several Korean media outlets, the actor is currently in talks to star in the drama “Buy King”after declining the offer to take part in the TV adaptation of « Inside Men" .
On March 16, a media outlet reported that Ju Ji-hoon, who had previously been considering a proposal to appear in the drama based on «Inside Men», had finally decided to turn to “Buy King”.
His agency Blitzway Entertainment reacted to the news by saying, «Actor Ju Ji-hoon is currently positively considering the offer to star in “Buy King”.»
A war of succession within a chaebol
The drama Buy King is set in the world of a powerful chaebol family, the family-owned conglomerates that dominate the South Korean economy.
The story will explore alliances, betrayals and ruptures within the clan as family members clash in a war of succession estimated to be worth tens of billions of won.
Ju Ji-hoon was offered the role of Han Tae-joon, a man who will do anything to achieve power. Described as utterly ruthless, he shows neither compassion nor remorse in his quest for success and influence.
