ENA has unveiled a tense new teaser for its political drama « Climax« . The video highlights the central relationship between prosecutor Bang Tae-seob (played by Ju Ji-hoon) and actress Chu Sang-ah (Ha Ji-won), a couple united not by love but by interest.
The teaser opens with Bang Tae-seob asking: «Is there a stronger bond than when two people's needs align?»
Faced with him, Chu Sang-ah immediately reacts: «Is that a threat?». He then replies, «It's a proposal.»
Their marriage appears to be a strategic alliance, built around ambition. Despite an obvious attraction and physical closeness, trust remains absent.
A relationship built on suspicion
Distrust soon grew between them. Bang Tae-seob confides in someone: «My wife is hiding something.»
Another voice asks, «How much do you trust Bang Tae-seob?»
Chu Sang-ah then directly accuses her husband: «You're just trying to use my fame for your own grand ambitions.»
An ambition that surpasses all
The teaser concludes with a revealing statement from the main character: «My goal is to stand at the top of South Korea.»
Between politics, manipulation and the desire for power, Climax promises a psychological confrontation as much as a thriller.
The series will be broadcast on March 16 at 10pm (KST) on ENA and available on Viki worldwide.
