K-drama fans will have to block off their evenings every weekend: JTBC has decided to turn Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays into real K-dramas. The channel recently revealed, via a teaser entitled Dramatic Weekendan ambitious program that promises to captivate viewers until the end of the year.

The already viral teaser features Lee Dong-wook and Lee Jin-wook, irresistible in costume, issuing impossible-to-refuse invitations: "And on Friday, what are you doing?", "Come on, I'll pick you up". A perfect appetizer for an all-new double line-up: a drama every Friday night and another in the classic weekend slot.

From July 18, the new Friday slot opens with The Nice Guy, a romantic melodrama starring Lee Dong-wook and Lee Sung-kyung. The story promises to explore the love between a "gangster with a big heart" and his first love, a young woman dreaming of becoming a singer. Next up is My Youth in September, where Song Joong-ki and Chun Woo-hee will revisit the magic of first love in adulthood. Finally, in December, Seo Hyun-jin will close the year with Love Me, which promises to be a touching chronicle of love and family ties.

Saturday and Sunday, JTBC is not slowing down. The channel is already building on the success of Good Boywhich has been the talk of the town for several weeks now. And she has no intention of stopping there: August 2, Esquire will take up the baton. The series plunges viewers into the daily lives of young lawyers, with Lee Jin-wook as a cynical but charismatic boss and Jung Chaeyeon as a fresh recruit.
Then come A Hundred Memories, a newtro romance starring Kim Da-mi and Shin Ye-eun, as well as The Story of Manager Kim Who Owns a Home in Seoul and Works at a Major Corporationstarring Ryu Seung-ryong. The perfect way to end the year, Park Seo-joon and up-and-coming actress Won Ji-an offer a wintry romance with Waiting for Gyeong-do.
With this strategy of dramas every weekend evening, JTBC is more than ever asserting its position as leader among Korean cable channels. It's going to be some kdrama to add to our watchlist!
