A new dramatic project could mark the return of Jo Jung-suk on the small screen. The actor is currently in talks to play the lead role in the drama tentatively titled « Paper Man" .
Visit February 5, media outlet IZE reported that Jo Jung-suk had been chosen to play the central character in the new series. Shortly afterwards, his agency JAM Entertainment confirmed the information, saying: «Jo Jung-suk has indeed received a proposal for “Paper Man” and is currently considering it positively.»

A dark and intriguing concept
Paper Man tells the story of a color-blind man whose life is turned upside down when he becomes embroiled in a case of counterfeit money. Little has yet been revealed about the precise plot, but the starting point suggests a psychological thriller where perception, reality and danger intertwine.
The production will be entrusted to Lee Il-hyung, known for the film A Violent Prosecutor and for the Netflix series Karma. His style, often tense and rhythmic, is already fuelling expectations for the project.
A long-awaited comeback
If participation is confirmed, Paper Man would mark Jo Jung-suk's return to television after the tvN drama Captivating the King, broadcast in 2024. Known for his ability to navigate between comedy, drama and darker roles, the actor could here explore a more introspective and intense side.
At this stage, no shooting or broadcast schedule has yet been announced. The public is therefore still awaiting further information on casting confirmation and the progress of the project.
