Jisung, member of NCT DREAM, takes another major step forward in her career. According to exclusive information revealed on January 14, the artist has confirmed her participation in season 2 of the drama « Crash« marking her true acting debut since her launch as an idol.
Broadcast on ENA, the Crash established itself in its first season, launched in May 2024, as a drama in a class of its own in the Korean landscape. It is the first to focus exclusively on traffic crime, following the investigations of the Traffic Crime Investigation Team (T.C.I), tasked with relentlessly tracking down road criminals.
A promising new role at T.C.I.
In season 2, Jisung joins the team as Ji Dae-se, the new youngest member of the T.C.I. Tall, charismatic and idol-like, his character is nicknamed the «traffic engineering». Trained in taekwondo and hapkido, Ji Dae-se excels in physical interventions, but also hides an inner wound that brings emotional depth to his role.
The new season will also reunite the original cast, including Lee Min-ki, Kwak Sun-young and Heo Sung-tae, a continuity appreciated by fans.
Prior to his debut with NCT DREAM in 2016, Jisung already had experience as a child actor, having appeared in the drama Deep Rooted Tree and the film Unbowed. However, Crash 2 marks her first dramatic appearance since becoming an idol, raising expectations for her performance.
With its tense, romance-free writing, the first season of Crash recorded the third-highest ratings in the history of ENA dramas. Season 2 will once again be directed by Park Joon-woo, and filming will begin next month.
With the arrival of Jisung, Crash season 2 promises to further expand its universe, while injecting new energy into its team of investigators.
