The next weekend drama « Recipe for Love » has unveiled new images focusing on the Gong family, revealing complex relationships marked by decades of tension. The series explores the slow reconciliation of 2 families that have been enemies for 30 years, as misunderstandings dissipate and old wounds begin to heal.
These new shots highlight the members of the Gong clan, each bearing their own cracks, thwarted desires and family responsibilities, in a delicate balance between conflict and affection.
Generational divides and paths to reconciliation
Jin Se-yeon plays the role of Gong Joo-ah, the eldest child in the family. Although she obtained her medical degree under pressure from her mother, she refuses to accept a life that is all mapped out for her, and quietly pursues her passion for fashion as a designer. Marked by her parents' constant quarrels, she rejects the very idea of marriage, leaving doubt as to what events might lead her to reconnect with her family.

At the heart of the middle generation, Yoo Ho-jung and Kim Seung-soo play Han Seong-mi and Gong Jeong-han, a married couple faced with the realities of everyday life. Their relationship, made up of joys, conflicts and compromises, is one of the emotional pillars of the drama.
Kim Mi-sook plays Na Seon-hae, the eldest daughter-in-law of the Gong family, who supports the household by raising her grandchildren in place of her busy children. A discreet but essential figure, embodying silent sacrifice and stability.
The second son, Gong Dae-han, is played by Choi Dae-chul. Kind and naive, he has taken on the responsibility of raising his niece Joo-ah and nephew Woo-jae. As he embarks on a new life as a newlywed, an unexpected crisis upsets his fragile equilibrium.
Finally, Kim Sun-bin lends his features to Gong Woo-jae, the youngest of the family. Unlike his sister, he follows their mother's wishes and prepares hard for the national medical exam, determined not to disappoint her. His brotherly relationship with Joo-ah brings a realistic, nuanced dynamic to the story.
The production team sums up the spirit of the series: «The story of the Gong family, from their quarrels to their newfound unity, will resonate deeply with audiences. We hope viewers will look forward to the warm message of growth born of these multiple relationships.»
Through this emotionally rich family fresco, Recipe for Love promises a sensitive exploration of blood ties, personal choices and forgiveness.
Recipe for Love will be broadcast from January 31 at 8pm (KST), no OTT for the moment.
