The upcoming drama « The Judge Returns » heightens anticipation with the release of two group posters illustrating the head-on clash between justice and corruption. Adapted from a web novel, the series follows Lee Han-young (Ji Sung), a corrupt judge formerly under the thumb of a powerful law firm, finds himself transported back ten years in time. Given a second chance, he decides to tackle the most deeply rooted evils of the judicial system.

The justice camp rallies around Lee Han-young

The first poster features Lee Han-young standing firmly in the center, surrounded by those who choose to support his quest for justice. Standing beside him are the prosecutor Kim Jin-ah (Won Jin-ah) of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office, his loyal best friend Seok Jung-ho (Tae Won-seok), the journalist Song Na-yeon (Baek Jin-hee) of the Daejin daily newspaper, as well as the prosecutor Park Chul-woo (Hwang Hee) of the South Chungcheong District Prosecutors Office.

Their determined gazes accompany the powerful statement: «I will take you to court.»
Initially wary of Han-young's radical methods, Kim Jin-ah and Park Chul-woo eventually recognize the sincerity of his struggle and become staunch allies. Seok Jung-ho, meanwhile, is ready to help without question, while Song Na-yeon, who was helped by Han-young in the past, chooses to stand by his side to fight corruption. As he returns to the past, the stakes are clear: will Han-young be able to erase the label of «corrupt judge» and bring justice to triumph with the help of his allies?

Corruption organized around unscrupulous power

The second poster reveals the opposing camp, led by Kang Shin-jin (Park Hee-soon), the central figure in a network dominated by greed. Around him gravitate Yoo Se-hee (Oh Se-young), Yoo Sun-chul (Ahn Nae-sang), Jang Tae-sik (Kim Bup-rae) and Kwak Soon-won (Park Gun-il). Their presence is reinforced by a chilling sentence: «There is no such thing as justice that everyone agrees on.»

Yoo Se-hee and Yoo Sun-chul, lawyers at the Haenal law firm, act as mere pawns in Shin-jin's service, engaging in numerous corrupt legal arrangements. Jang Tae-sik, a member of Group S, commits crimes under the protection of his influence, while Kwak Soon-won blindly carries out all his orders. Together, they form a bulwark designed to prevent Lee Han-young and his allies from completing their quest, foreshadowing a fierce and uncompromising power struggle.

The Judge Returns will be broadcast from January 2 (no international distributor for the moment).
