tvN has unveiled an original, humorous teaser for its next drama Pro Bonoa judicial comedy that promises to be as offbeat as it is endearing.
This new series features Jeong Kyeong-ho in the role of Kang Davida former judge obsessed with success and recognition. But everything changes when, against his better judgment, he finds himself stuck on the pro bono team of a major law firm, a division without prestige or profits, dedicated to public interest cases.
An amusing satire of the legal world
The teaser opens with Kang DavidA proud and self-confident man, entering a courtroom under the flashbulbs of photographers. Once dubbed the "influencer judge" with 120,000 subscribers, he embodies success at all costs. But his destiny takes a turn as absurd as it is unpredictable when he spots... a shiny red apple on the floor. A single breath and he's unconscious, as if in a fairy tale. When he wakes up, everything has changed: he's no longer the star judge, but a lawyer lost in a small office in the pro bono unit. Around him, a new team and an adorable puppy try to drag him out of bed by reminding him that he has to plead.
The teaser then poses the question, "One poisoned apple, and he becomes a public interest lawyer?!" The video concludes with a Kang David in the midst of a crisis, shouting into the camera, "I want my old life back!"
Pro Bono promises to be a sparkling satire of the Korean legal world, combining humor, social criticism and a healthy dose of self-mockery. The series will be broadcast December 6 at 9:10 p.m. on tvN (awaiting international distribution).
