Netflix has unveiled striking new images of its upcoming drama As You Stood Byan adaptation of the acclaimed novel Naomi and Kanako by Japanese author Hideo Okuda. Directed by Lee Jung-rim (VIP, Revenant), this series promises a tense atmosphere and characters torn apart by their secrets.

Two women pushed to the limit

The story follows Jo Eun-su (Jeon So-nee), a skilled team leader in the VIP department of a department store, and Jo Hui-su (Lee Yoo-mi), her close friend and victim of an oppressive and dangerous environment. The two women, cornered by an unbearable reality, contemplate an irreversible act to free themselves: murder.

The new photos reveal Eun-su, torn between her professionalism and her concern for Hui-su, whose wounds and frightened look foreshadow a dramatic situation. Their friendship becomes the driving force behind a tragic decision that will turn their lives upside down.

Suspense fueled by secrets

The male cast adds further tension. Jang Seung-jo embodies Noh Jin-pyoa man with a chilling gaze, while also playing Jang Kanga character with the same face but a radically different aura.

Lee Moo-saengfor his part, interprets Jin So-baekan enigmatic man whose intentions remain unclear. His proximity to the two heroines raises doubts about his role in their descent into hell.

The images also feature the protagonists' families: Kim Mi-kyung in the role of Eun-su's mother, impassive even at a supposedly joyous moment, and Kim Mi-sook and Lee Ho-jung as mother and sister to the menacing Jin-pyo. These dark and complex family ties are set to play a key role in the two women's desperate pact.
