The next MBC drama «Perfect Crown» begins to unveil its universe with the publication of its first official poster featuring IU and Byeon Woo-seok in their respective roles.
The story takes place in an alternate reality where modern Korea functions as a constitutional monarchy. Against this backdrop, two characters whom everything seems to oppose decide to join forces.
IU embodies Sung Hee-joo, a chaebol heiress who apparently owns everything, but whose status remains that of a commoner. Opposite her, Byeon Woo-seok plays the Grand Prince Yi An, son of the king, but condemned to remain in the shadows as the royal family's second son.
A contract marriage to break their boundaries
In «Perfect Crown», Sung Hee-joo and Grand Prince Yi An each find themselves trapped in their own situation. She can't achieve the status she aspires to because of her origin, while he is limited by his position in the royal hierarchy.
To overcome these constraints, they take a bold decision: marry by contract.
By officially becoming husband and wife, they hope to form an alliance capable of helping them achieve their respective goals.
