Netflix prepares an unprecedented foray into Korean teen horror with " If Wishes Could Kill» a series that blends digital curse, race against time and doom. Presented as the Korea's first youth horror series of the platform, she is expected in the second quarter of 2026.

A wish granted... at the cost of life
If Wishes Could Kill follows a group of high-school students confronted with a terrifying reality: after using a mysterious wish-granting app called GIRIGO, They discover that they are now condemned to die. Each wish granted seems to seal their fate a little more, trapping them in a death spiral whose exact rules nobody knows.

Caught in the trap of this digital curse, the teenagers have only one option: to understand the origin of GIRIGO and find a way to escape a destiny that's already been drawn. As time passes, the pressure intensifies, transforming their daily lives into a desperate struggle between fear, guilt and the instinct to survive.

A new generation confronted with horror
The series is supported by Jeon So-young, who plays the role of Se-ah, a promising track and field athlete facing a threat beyond her knowledge. By her side, Kang Mi-na plays Na-ri, her close friend, while Baek Sun-ho interprets Geon-woo, Se-ah's boyfriend, caught up in this fatal spiral.

The group is completed by Hyun Woo-seok, in the role of Ha-joon, the group's strategist, and Lee Hyo-je, who plays the role of Hyeong-wook, a character whose wish comes true via the GIRIGO application, triggering a chain of events with irreversible consequences.

At the helm of the project is director Park Youn-seo, already known for his work on Kingdom (season 2) and Moving, The screenplay is by Park Jung-seop. Production is by CJ ENM Studios and KAIROS MAKERS.
