Disney+ has unveiled new images and the launch date of Made in Koreaits forthcoming political thriller led by Hyun Bin, Jung Woo-sung and Woo Do-hwan. The drama, eagerly awaited for its prestigious cast and historical ambience, has also confirmed production of a Season 2 even before its broadcast.

The announcement was made at the Disney+ Original Preview 2025 on November 13, 2025, held in Hong Kong, in the presence of director Woo Min Ho and the main cast. The team revealed that the sequel is already in the works, with a release scheduled for the second half of next year.

Ambition, power and chaos in the 70s
Made in Korea recounts the confrontation between Baek Ki Tae, played by Hyun Bin, a man consumed by his thirst for money and influence, and Jang Geon Young, the prosecutor played by Jung Woo Sung, ready to sacrifice everything to stop him. Their confrontation takes place at a key moment in Korean history, marked by the political turbulence of the 1970s.

It's a major project, especially as it marks the first time Woo Min Ho, Hyun Bin and Jung Woo Sung have taken part in an OTT production. For Hyun Bin, it's also her big return to the drama format since "Crash Landing on You" in 2017.

Platform to release first episodes gradually 2 episodes on December 24, 2025, 2 more on the 31st, followed by sequential broadcasts for the rest of the series.
New stills and a first teaser already promise an intense thriller, punctuated by all-consuming ambitions, power struggles and the chaos of an era that forged Korea's modern history.
