Good news for fans of Hwang Min-hyun ! The actor, hero of the first season of the series Study Groupmay well reprise her role in season 2 of the hit drama.
According to a Sports Chosun published on October 23 2025platform TVING is reportedly actively preparing for the series' return, with filming scheduled for the first half of the year, as soon as Hwang Min-hyun finishes his military service (December 20).
The actor's agency, PLEDIS Entertainmentconfirmed that he was "under discussion to join the cast of this new season, although no official announcement has yet been made.
First broadcast in january 2025Study Group is adapted from the webtoon of the same name. This school action-comedy follows Yoon Ga-min (played by Hwang Min-hyun), a high school student who dreams of excelling in his studies, but whose real talent lies in fighting. In a school considered one of the worst in the world, he decides to form a study group to face the trials... in his own way.
The drama had a huge international successranking in the Top 5 Viki platform in over 140 countries. Last May, the production company Studio Dragon had already confirmed that season 2 was in development.
So fans can rejoice: Study Group to return soonand there's every reason to believe that Hwang Min-hyun will once again be the main face.
