The Kdrama Hunter with a Scalpel is set to hit screens on June 16 with a promise: that of a breathless, psychological and deeply disturbing thriller, carried by a trio of actors at the top of their game. The plot is based on Seo Se-hyun (played by Park Ju-hyun), a medical examiner of genius, known for solving the coldest cases thanks to her surgical precision... and her emotional detachment. But everything changes the day she recognizes, on a body, the murderous signature of her own father - a serial killer she had thought dead for twenty years. From then on, it's a race against time: to find her father before the police do, and above all, before he chooses her as his next target.
A chilling father-daughter relationship
Hunter with a Scalpel is more than a simple game of cat and mouse. The strength of the series lies in the constant tension between the charactersThis is the story of Se Hyun's unhealthy relationship with her father Jo Kyun (Park Yong-woo). Manipulative and obsessive, Jo Kyun harbors a disturbing obsession with his daughter, convinced that she's more like him than she wants to admit. Their confrontation, both psychological and emotional, gives the drama a rare depth.

Alongside them, the detective Jung Jung-hyun (Kang Hoon) provides a luminous counterweight to this darkness. Idealistic and driven by a deep sense of justice, he becomes Se Hyun's only emotional anchor... while suspecting that she's hiding something from him. Their ambiguous relationship, between distrust and attraction, adds further tension.
