ENA's next legal drama, « Honor« continues to unveil its key characters. After the first images of the main trio, there are now new shots highlighting Lee Chung-ah that attract attention.
Adapted from a Swedish series, Honor follows three female lawyers as they deal with a scandal that has been buried for years. Lee Chung-ah plays Hwang Hyun-jin, the most instinctive and physical lawyer at L&J (Listen and Join), which specializes in defending victims of sex crimes.
A lawyer who acts before she speaks
Unlike Yoon Ra-young (played by Lee Na-young) and Kang Shin-jae (Jung Eun-chae), its CEO and strategist, Hwang Hyun-jin acts above all in the field. Impulsive and deeply allergic to injustice, she is guided by an acute sense of righteousness.
Her approach involves direct investigation, sometimes at the risk of her own safety. For her clients, she doesn't hesitate to confront the aggressors, to dig into the shadows and expose the most disturbing truths. A frontal stance that promises emotionally-charged scenes and catharsis for viewers.
Between the courtroom and physical preparation
The new images released by the production perfectly illustrate this duality. They show Hwang Hyun-jin pleading with intensity in court, her sharp eyes conveying uncompromising determination. Other shots show her concentrated in front of her computer, in the midst of analyzing a case, underlining her professionalism and rigor.
Even more surprisingly, some of the photos show her in full judo training. Her preparation is as much mental as physical, symbolizing her determination to be ready to intervene at a moment's notice. A detail that reinforces the originality of her character in an often more static courtroom drama.
The production team emphasized that Lee Chung-ah manages to embody «both the sharp intelligence and dynamic energy» of her character, inviting audiences to discover «a new facet of a fearless, fearless action lawyer».
Honor will be broadcast from February 2 (no international broadcaster yet), promising a tense legal thriller driven by united, combative heroines.
