The new action-comedy series Heroes Next Door unveils its posters and an explosive trailer ahead of its release on November 17 on ENA. The plot follows a group of former Special Forces members who reunite, not to save the world, but to defend their families and neighborhood when a mysterious incident upsets the tranquility of the neighborhood.
Ordinary heroes with extraordinary reflexes
The posters feature the 5 members of the "Neighborhood Task Force", all as singular as they are endearing.
Yoon Kye-sang plays Choi Kang, a former special forces agent turned insurance investigator, spotted taking a pistol out of a shopping bag filled with leeks.
Jin Sun-kyu plays Kwak Byung-nam, ex-military technician and now local association leader, with a mischievous smile and a dangerous air.
Kim Ji-hyun lends her features to Jung Nam-yeon, a sharp-eyed supermarket manager and former military instructor.
Go Gyu-pilas martial arts master Lee Yong-hee, blends humor and tactical flair as an ex-cyber operations hacker.
Finally, Lee Jung-ha portrays Park Jung-hwan, a brilliant engineering student and ex-mortar operator, calm but formidably strategic.
Action, humor and neighborhood solidarity
The teaser shows these five characters united in the face of danger, their military instincts resurfacing as they vow to "protect their own neighborhood".
