Heo Nam-joon could join Moon Ga-young and Choi Woo-shik in a new historical drama

A new trio of actors could soon be forming on screen! According to JTBC Entertainment News, Heo Nam-joon has been offered a role in the upcoming drama Whale Star: The Gyeongseong Mermaid (working title) and is currently under discussion. His agency H.SOLID confirmed the information, adding that the offer is currently under review.

Adapted from a webtoon inspired by The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen, this version revisits the tale in a historical context: Gyeongseong in 1926under Japanese occupation. The story tells of the meeting between Kang Ui-hyeona man ready to do anything for his country, and Su Aa young woman willing to risk her life to protect him.

Choi Woo-shik and Mun Ka-young would be approached to play, respectively, Kang Ui-hyeon, a pro-independence militant, and Su A, a servant in a pro-Japanese family.

Heo Nam-joonwould be offered the role of Song Hae-suHe's an activist from Primory (Russia) who, after losing his family, devotes his life to the struggle for independence. Cold-hearted and extremely reliable, his involvement with Su A and Kang Ui-hyeon will profoundly change his life.
