MBC unveils the first images of Hahm Eun-jung in " First Man" her next weekday revenge series. The actress takes on a dual role, moving from an honest, courageous young woman to a capricious heiress of a financial empire. A duality that promises to leave a strong mark on the drama.
Oh Jang-mi, an everyday fighter
In the new images, Hahm Eun-jung appears as Oh Jang-mi, the older twin sister, a young woman with a bright temperament despite a life full of obstacles. Her dream is to one day open her own restaurant. To achieve this, she works one part-time job after another.
We discover her smiling behind the counter of a restaurant, welcoming customers with infectious energy. Her simple glasses do nothing to dim the sparkle in her eyes, betraying her enthusiasm and affection for the profession she hopes to pursue full-time.
Other images show her ready to deliver meals by bike, helmet adjusted and delivery bag well-organized. These scenes illustrate a demanding daily routine, punctuated by sweat, fatigue... but also unshakeable determination. Despite her grueling days, Oh Jang-mi retains an unspoiled kindness and a rare ability to smile.
A double life, two opposing destinies
In parallel, the actress plays Ma Se-rin, the youngest daughter and only granddaughter of the boss of the Dream Group conglomerate. Arrogant, reckless and used to getting everything effortlessly, Ma Se-rin is the exact opposite of Jang-mi. Two physically identical sisters, but radically different in their values and backgrounds.
The production praises the actress's total commitment: "Hahm Eun-jung has completely melted into the skin of the twins Oh Jang-mi and Ma Se-rin. Her ability to switch from one to the other, despite their resemblance, is reason enough alone to look forward to the series."
The team adds: "From Jang-mi's warm, fair personality to the opposing fates of the two sisters, Hahm Eun-jung delivers a performance that creates real synergy. Her performance promises to be a real highlight on screen."
Through these 2 female figures, First Man promises an intense tale of personal justice, jealousy and revenge.
The drama will air from December 15 on MBC (awaiting an international broadcaster).
