The new Disney+ drama “Gold Land”unveils an intriguing first poster and confirms its release date. Starring Park Bo-young and Kim Sung-cheol, this thriller promises an intense dive into a world dominated by greed and hard choices.

A story of desire and danger

“Gold Land” follows Kim Hee-ju (Park Bo-young), a security guard at an international airport, whose life is turned upside down when she comes into possession of gold ingots linked to an illegal smuggling ring.

What starts out as an unexpected situation quickly turns into a dangerous spiral, with the people around him desperate to get their hands on the treasure.

But the real conflict doesn't just come from outside: Hee-ju also has to face up to his own temptation to keep that gold.

A duo at the heart of chaos

Opposite her, Kim Sung-cheol plays Jang Wook, a debt collector involved in a network of illegal moneylenders. An ambiguous character, he evolves in a world where the rules are dictated by money and survival.

The face-off between these two characters promises constant tension, between alliance, mistrust and confrontation.

A dark and symbolic atmosphere on this 1st poster

The first poster features shiny gold ingots in the heart of darkness, symbolizing a desire that grows in the shadows. The slogan, “Bright desire blossoming in the dark”, heralds crucial choices in extreme situations.

Episodes 1 and 2 will air on April 29, followed by 2 episodes a week for a total of 10 episodes.
