JTBC's next drama « We Are All Trying Here »continues to unveil its characters with the release of the first images of Go Youn-jung in his role.
The series tells the story of Hwang Dong-man, played by Koo Kyo-hwan, a man who is convinced that his life is the only unsuccessful one among his friends. Riddled with anguish, jealousy and a sense of failure, he embarks on a personal journey to find some form of inner peace.
At the heart of this story is Byun Eun-ah, played by Go Youn-jung.
A feared producer in the film industry
Byun Eun-ah works as a producer at the Choi Film production company. She is known in the industry for her razor-sharp script reviews, earning her the nickname «The Ax».
On the surface, Eun-ah tries to remain calm and perfectly balanced in all situations. But behind this façade lies a person deeply scarred by trauma.
When her emotions become too intense, she even suffers from nosebleeds, a sign of the inner pressure she's trying to control.
A meeting that could change everything
The relationship between Eun-ah and Hwang Dong-man should play an important role in the story.
Although Dong-man seems to have been left behind in the eyes of the world, he possesses an inner strength that surpasses that of many other characters. Through this encounter, Eun-ah begins to heal her own wounds.
In return, she will help Dong-man transform his deep sense of worthlessness into something brighter.
The first images unveiled show Go Youn-jung in the discreet daily life of a film producer. With an expression both cool and lucid, she perfectly reflects the image of «The Ax PD», while revealing the complex emotions behind her attitude.
The production team commented: «Go Youn-jung has aptly interpreted the many facets of her character and carries the heart of the story. Her delicate acting, which captures the full depth of her role, will leave a strong impression on viewers.»
The drama We Are All Trying Here will be broadcast in April on JTBC and Netflix.
