JTBC has just unveiled the first trailer for his next romantic comedy Surely Tomorrowstarring Park Seo-joon and Won Ji-an. The drama will tell the story of Lee Gyeong Do and Seo Ji Woo, two former lovers whose paths keep crossing over the years.

They fell in love at 20, found each other again at 28, and then parted again. Years later, fate brings them together again: Gyeong Do is now a journalist, assigned to cover an adultery scandal... in which Seo Ji Woo's husband is at the heart.

A romance full of tension and humor

The teaser opens with memories of an innocent youth, in which the two characters share sweet, awkward moments. But this light-hearted atmosphere is suddenly shattered when Seo Ji-woo bluntly asks, "Gyeong Do, why don't we have sex?" A sentence that leaves Gyeong Do completely baffled.

Always mischievous, Ji-woo teases him, stroking his head and coming dangerously close to him in class. Gyeong-do, confused, finally asks, "So, what are we?" To which Ji Woo boldly replies, "We almost slept together." A reply that leaves him speechless.

The years go by, but Ji Woo remains true to herself, lively and unpredictable. Gyeong-do wonders, "Why can't she live calmly?" before Seo Ji-woo makes a request that's as surprising as it is heartbreaking: "Write the news of my divorce."

In the final seconds of the teaser, a flashback reveals Gyeong-do's distress over his first love. His friend Cha Woo-shik, played by Kang Ki-doong, advises him to break up. But Gyeong-do persists: "She's got a good heart."

Surely Tomorrow promises a romance that's funny, melancholy and full of sincerity. The series will debut in December on JTBC and Prime Video.
