MBC has revealed the first images of the script reading for First ManThe next daily drama in the series centers on a double story of revenge, in which two women see their destinies cross in a fatal way. One lives someone else's life for revenge, while the other steals someone else's existence to fulfill her own ambitions. A dark tale built around rivalries, family secrets and stolen identities.

The screening featured director Kang Tae-heum, screenwriter Seo Hyun-joo and a strong cast including Hahm Eun-jung, Oh Hyun-kyung, Yoon Sun-woo, Park Gun-il, Kim Min-seol, Lee Hyo-jung, Jung So-young, Jung Chan and Lee Jae-hwang. From the very first lines, the actors plunged into their roles with an intensity worthy of a real shoot, revealing a fluid chemistry despite their first meeting.
Hahm Eun-jung shines in 2 opposing roles: luminous heroine and rebellious heiress
The heart of the drama lies in the twins' fractured destinies, both played by Hahm Eun-jung. On the one hand, she plays Oh Jang-mi, an independent, upright woman who dreams of opening her own restaurant; on the other, Ma Se-rin, the capricious granddaughter and sole heiress of the powerful Dream Group chairman. The actress impressed with her ability to switch instantly from one character to another, transforming her look, voice and aura to embody two totally opposite lives.
Oh Hyun-kyung, who plays Chae Hwa-young, also monopolized attention as a cold, ambitious antagonist, hiding behind impeccable elegance a perfectly assumed cruelty.

Promising performances in a drama where family, ambition and revenge collide
Yoon Sun-woo and Park Gun-il, who play 2 brothers linked in spite of themselves to the twins, delivered a striking duet. Yoon Sun-woo brings to life Kang Baek-ho, a warm, idealistic and determined lawyer, while Park Gun-il plays his older brother Kang Jun-ho, a demanding, icy and emotionally more complex boss.

Kim Min-seol stood out in the role of Jin Hong-joo, a calculating, ambitious woman who will do anything to get what she wants.

Seasoned actors also added dramatic weight to the scene: Lee Hyo-jung plays Ma Dae-chang, the chairman of the Dream Group, a man who lives by a single rule, "I am the law." Jung So-young upsets as the twins' mother, whose tragic accident has reduced her spirit to that of a child. Jung Chan brings warmth and authority as Baek-ho and Jun-ho's father, while Lee Jae-hwang plays Lee Kang-hyuk, Hwa-young's loyal and formidable right-hand man.

With a committed cast and such a lively script reading, First Man promises to be a daily drama packed with emotion, family tensions and twists and turns.

The series will debut on December 15 on MBC, after the conclusion of The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun.
