MBN has confirmed the arrival of 4 new key faces in his next political drama First Lady : Han So-A, Shin So-yool, Kim Gi-bang and Oh Seung-eun. Alongside Eugene (S.E.S), Ji Hyun-woo and Lee Min-youngThey spice up this thriller of power intrigues and family secrets.
Scheduled for September 24 in MBN's Wednesday/Thursday evening slot, First Lady tells the story of a newly-elected president who, at just 67 days before his inaugurationasks his wife for a divorce. This shock announcement triggers a series of political and personal conflicts, against a backdrop of manipulation and revelations.
The series is written by Kim Hyung-wan (Dream High 2, Hidden Identity) and promises an intense immersion in the corridors of power.
The new characters
- Han Soo A as Lee Hwa-jin, stylist to Cha Soo-yeon (Eugene). A long-time admirer of the future First Lady, she finally realizes her dream of working alongside her... until this admiration turns into uncontrollable desire, triggering a destructive spiral.
- Shin So-yool will be Son Min-jua journalist close to the presidential couple and host of a news magazine. Asked by Cha Soo Yeon to help her, she makes an unexpected decision that plunges the latter into turmoil.
- Kim Gi-bang will play Yoon Ki-joo, childhood friend of the president-elect. Once an ally, he's now determined to bring him down after an event that shattered their relationship.
- Oh Seung-eun will perform Choi Myung-joo, fashion designer for the First Lady, motivated solely by sales, regardless of scandal.
