Fans of cooking and K-dramas are in for a treat. JTBC has confirmed the main cast of its new drama “Final Table”A project combining culinary competition and fiction, led by Ahn Hyo-seop, Hong Hwa-yeon, Chang Ryul and Jung Yoo-jin.
At the heart of the story, several Korean chefs from all over the world go head-to-head in “The Table: K-Chef 2026”, a survival competition designed to determine the best chef. Between pressure, rivalries and passion, the drama promises an intense immersion in the world of gastronomy.
A high-voltage competition
Ahn Hyo-seop plays Kang Han, a chef living abroad who joins the competition after an unexpected event. Representing the Familia restaurant, he will have to convince the judges with his own vision of taste, while facing formidable opponents.
Among them is Cha Woo-jin (Chang Ryul), a perfectionist chef raised as a prodigy from an early age. Driven by an unwavering will to win, he establishes himself as Kang Han's main rival.
The drama promises to be a real culinary battle, where every detail can make the difference.
Between cuisine, emotions and personal stories
Beyond the competition, “Final Table” also highlights the characters' backgrounds.
Hong Hwa-yeon plays Choi Song-yi, the restaurant manager at Familia, who is trying to preserve the establishment founded by her father after his death. Her encounter with Kang Han could well turn her life upside down.
For her part, Jung Yoo-jin plays Seon Jung-won, the cooking show's executive producer. Fascinated by the world of gastronomy, she orchestrates the competition, which brings together chefs with varied profiles.
The production team promises an original format, halfway between drama and reality show. «As the competition will be presented in the form of an entertainment program, viewers will have the impression of watching a show while following a drama,» they explain.
“Final Table” is scheduled for the second half of 2026 on JTBC.
