ENA has just unveiled the main trailer of his next drama Heroes Next Doora series combining action, comedy and suspense, starring Yoon Kye-sang, Lee Jung-ha and a high-energy cast.
Former soldiers face local threat
Heroes Next Door tells the thrilling (and humorous) story of a group of former Special Forces members who reunite years later, not to defend the country or save the world, but to protect their families and neighbourhoods.
The trailer opens with a light-hearted tone, showing these seemingly ordinary neighbors: an insurance investigator, a youth group leader, a supermarket owner, a gym manager and an engineering student. But behind their quiet lives, their elite instincts resurface in unexpected situations: defusing bombs, dealing with state secrets, and mocking action scenes. "What kind of neighborhood is full of ex-special forces?" jokes Choi Kang (played by Yoon Kye-sang), setting the tone for a drama that's both explosive and funny.
An action-comedy at the heart of a conspiracy
While a huge explosion shakes up their peaceful neighborhood, the tone of the series shifts.
The heroes discover that the media, the police and even the army seem to be manipulated by an unknown force who's trying to cover up the truth. Convinced that a much larger conspiracy is at play, these "neighborhood heroes" decide to taking things in hand and investigate for themselves, even if it means launching a series of missions that are as unpredictable as they are dangerous.
Under the slogan "Save our neighborhood in crisis!", Heroes Next Door promises a clever blend of offbeat comedy, intense action and conspiracy thrillerhalfway between Good Manager and The Fiery Priest.
