MBN's next drama, The First Ladyis already starting to make waves. The network has unveiled the first images from its script reading, revealing an intense atmosphere full of promise. With its prestigious cast and groundbreaking plot, the series promises to be one of the most eagerly awaited projects of the fall season.
Tense political intrigue
"The First Lady" will tell the story of a newly-elected president who, to everyone's surprise, asks his wife for a divorce... just before his inauguration. With only 67 days before the presidential ceremonythe couple find themselves embroiled in an intimate war that intertwines with power plays, buried secrets and political plots.
A solid cast already working together
When we first read the script, the chemistry between the actors struck immediately.
- Eugene as Cha Soo-yeona woman who contributed to her husband's victory, convinced that she would soon become First Lady, before her world turned upside down. The actress impressed with her ability to navigate ambition, pain and anger.
- Ji Hyun-woo will play Hyun Min-chulHis complex character oscillates between gentleness and authority. His charisma captured our attention from the very first lines.
- Lee Min-young will be Shin Hae-rina secretary devoted to the president-elect, whose cool, calm demeanor intrigues.
- Han Soo-ah will perform Lee Hwa-jinstylist and long-time admirer of Cha Soo Yeon.
- Shin So-yul will bring Son Min-jooa formidable journalist who knows all the couple's secrets.
- Kim Ki-bang and Oh Seung-eun will enrich the story with strong secondary roles, bringing both authenticity and intensity.

An experienced creative team
The drama is signed by Kim Hyung-wana screenwriter renowned for his well-crafted plots, who worked on the project for no less than six years. The directors are Lee Ho Hyunknown for his meticulous direction. Together, they announce a series that is both breathtaking and innovative.
