The next drama Efficient Meeting of Singles (미혼남녀의 효율적 만남) could well become the first series in the weekend drama line-up for JTBC in 2026. According to information from Korean media outlet Eyes, the channel is currently discussing its programming following the broadcast of Surely tomorrow (경도를 기다리며), which is due to end next January.
A love triangle from a successful webtoon
Adapted from a popular webtoon of the same name, the story follows Lee Eui-young (performed by Han Ji-min), a woman who decides to get serious about finding love. On a blind date, she meets two men with very different personalities: Song Tae-seop (played by Park Sung-hoon) and Shin Ji-soo (performed by Lee Ki-taek). Between attraction, doubts and questioning, she embarks on an emotional journey in search of the true meaning of love.
The drama, which is said to be the first project of the 2026 JTBC weekend, is already generating a great deal of anticipation, thanks in particular to the return of Han Ji-min on the small screen.
The return of Park Sung-hoon
This will be Park Sung-hoon's first project (after Squid Game), following his withdrawal from Bon Appétit, Your Majesty.
