TV CHOSUN has unveiled the main poster for its upcoming weekend miniseries “Doctor Shin”, a medical thriller that blends forbidden romance, memory manipulation and ethical dilemmas.
At the heart of the story is Shin Ju-shin (Jung E-chan), a renowned neurosurgeon who pushes the boundaries of medicine, where some believe it should never venture. At his side, Momo (Baek Seo-ra), a woman whose brain is suddenly damaged overnight, sees her identity and soul gradually erased.
The drama also revolves around a top star who has fallen into a coma after a tragic accident, a man who once loved her and another who still does. Between impossible love, desire, taboo and sacrifice, the plot promises constant tension.
A dark poster, eyes full of secrets
The poster features the eight main characters: Shin Ju-shin, Momo, Ha Yong-joong (An Woo-yeon), Geum Ba-ra (Joo Se-bin), Kim Jin-joo (Cheon Young-min), Hyun Ran-hee (Song Ji-in), James (Jeon No-min) and Paul Kim (Ji Young-san).
All appear against an intense black background, staring in the same direction without ever looking directly at the camera. Above them, an intriguing phrase: «A love you can never have.»
Beneath their silhouettes, another line strikes: «Memories have been altered and truth has been suppressed.» These words foreshadow a tale in which memory, existence and even the essence of love waver.
A medical debut for screenwriter Phoebe
The production team explained, «The main poster symbolically captures the intertwined stories of the key characters in ‘Doctor Shin’ as they move between love, desire, taboo and sacrifice.»
They also pointed out that this is screenwriter Phoebe's first medical thriller, promising bold, intense storytelling true to her style.
“Doctor Shin” will air from March 14 at 10:30pm (KST).
