tvN unveils new teaser for Confidence QueenKorean adaptation of the hit Japanese drama The Confidence Man JP (2018). Get ready to plunge into a world of spectacular trickery where con artists don't target the innocent... but the worst scoundrels.
Three genius con artists
At the heart of the story, Park Min-young stars as Yoon Yi-rang, a con artist with an IQ of 165, one of the brightest intellectual 1 %s. Charismatic, unpredictable and an outstanding strategist, she leads her team in plans as audacious as they are ingenious. Alongside her, James (Park Hee-soon) and Myung Gu-ho (Joo Jong-hyuk) complete this formidable trio.
Master strokes... and hard knocks
The teaser opens with Yi Rang confidently entering an auction room, launching: "The operation begins. One thing leads to another, and we see her manipulating criminals from all walks of life, savoring victory with her accomplices and celebrating their winnings.
But the game isn't always won. The chilling voice of Jeon Tae-so (Jung Woong-in) rings out, and one image follows another: slaps, strangulations, captures... proof that their targets won't always be so easily fooled. A formidable adversary seems ready to upset their plans.
We see more of the secondary characters in this trailer, with well-known actors including a nod to Marry my husband thanks to the presence of Lee Yi-kyung, who played Park Min-young's husband in that film.
Confidence Queen will start on September 6 at 9:10 p.m. KST on tvN and Prime Video, promising a mix of tension, humor and unexpected twists.
