Actor Choo Young-woo could soon be co-starring with Kim So-hyun in Romance Expertthe new romantic drama from director Ahn Pan-seok, known for Something in the Rain, One Spring Night and The Midnight Romance in Hagwon.

According to several South Korean media outlets, Choo Young-woo has received an offer to play the male lead in the drama, soon to air on ENA. His agency J WIDE Company confirmed the news, saying: "Choo Young-woo has indeed received the proposal to star in the new ENA series and is considering it positively."
A romance between two wounded souls
Romance Expert tells the story of a former swimmer, Park Min-jaewho lost her left leg to osteosarcoma, and a young woman, Im Yoo-jinwho, after giving up her career as a medical resident, found a new path in research.
Choo Young-woo is set to play Park Min-jae, a man who, after seeing his life fall apart, discovers a new passion for robotics. After four years of hard work, he is admitted to the mechanical engineering faculty of Seoul National University. Behind his detached attitude, he hides a great sensitivity and a simple dream: to finally know love.
Kim So-hyun, meanwhile, was offered the role of Im Yoo-jin, a brilliant textile graduate who, after an incident at university, gives up her master's project and turns to robotics, inspired by her encounter with Min-jae.
A prestigious new collaboration for Ahn Pan-seok
The drama will be directed by Ahn Pan-seokan acknowledged master of the romantic genre and a keen observer of human emotions, while the screenplay is by Min Hyo-jeong.
Meanwhile, Choo Young-woo is preparing to return to the big screen with Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight, an adaptation of the Japanese novel of the same name, due before the end of the year.
No air date has yet been announced for Romance Expert, but the reunion of Choo Young-woo and Kim So-hyun under the direction of Ahn Pan-seok already promises a moving and delicate story.
