The new Kdramas season is shaping up to be an exciting one, and one of the most eagerly awaited titles is undoubtedly " Would You Marry Me ?" the next romantic comedy from SBS. Carried by a duo as popular as they are promising, Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-minthe drama was in the news today thanks to a memorable script reading session, the photos of which have just been unveiled.

A fake wedding... but real sparks
Scheduled for release in October on Disney+ and Hulu (in some regions), Would You Marry Me? tells the story of Kim Woo-joo (Choi Woo-shik), heir to a dynasty of renowned bakers, and Yoo Me-ri (Jung So-min), a young designer at the end of her rope. Together, they conclude a 90-day fake marriage with the sole aim of winning a sumptuous home for the newlyweds. But of course, nothing goes according to plan...


Reading the script, the chemistry between Choi Woo-shik and Jung So-min was immediately obvious.. He is the refined, endearing heir, while she gives life to a vulnerable yet resourceful heroine, damaged by a betrayal in love and a real estate scam.
A solid cast around the main couple
Around this central duo, the cast also promises some interesting dynamics. They include :
- Bae Na-ra as Baek Sang-hyun, a department store executive and discreet observer of the couple,

- Shin Seul-ki as a family doctor and Woo Joo's soul mate,

- Seo Bum-june who plays Me Ri's ex-fiancé, ironically bearing the same name as the hero, Kim Woo-joo.

Members of the 2 families complete the picture: Jung Ae-ri as matriarch of the family bakery, Kim Young-min and Baek Ji-won in the roles of the hero's aunt and uncle, not forgetting Yoon Bok-inMe Ri's protective mother.




An experienced production team at the helm
This project is also supported by a renowned team: Song Hyun-wookknown for The Golden Spoon and Another Miss Oh, directs alongside Hwang In-hyeok (Doctor Prisoner), from a screenplay by Lee Ha-na (Rookie Cops). A trio that promises a masterful blend of emotion, romance and humor.
