The new romantic comedy from SBS, Would You Marry Mehas just unveiled a trailer that promises humor, emotion and romantic twists and turns.
The series tells the story of Kim Woo-jooperformed by Choi Woo-shikheir to South Korea's oldest bakery, and of Yoo Maryplayed by Jung So-minan ambitious entrepreneur. To win a luxury home reserved for newlyweds, the two characters make a daring pact: a 90-day mock wedding.
From fake love to real feelings?
The teaser shows their efforts to play the perfect married couple. Wearing matching outfits and making affectionate gestures, Woo Joo and Mary try to keep their secret. Although Woo Joo is initially reticent about this staging, his attitude gradually changes. In one striking scene, he earnestly declares, "Make sure you contact me 4 times a day: morning, noon, night, and once more before you go to sleep."
But their fragile equilibrium is soon threatened. The return of Mary's ex-fiancé, also named Woo Joo and played by Seo Bum-junecomes to cause chaos. Determined to win Mary back, he rekindles a jealousy that the false husband can no longer contain. The teaser concludes with a direct, emotional confession: "It must be because I love you, Mary. I don't like seeing you with another man."
With its mix of pretenses, rivalries and budding feelings, Would You Marry Me promises to be a sparkling romance where humor meets emotion.
