SBS confirms distribution of " Manager Kim" his next dark action drama based on a successful webtoon. Headlining: So Ji-sub, accompanied by Choi Dae-hoon and Yoon Kyung-ho, in a series that mixes paternity, state secrets and survival.
An ordinary father... with explosive revelations
At the center of the story is Min Ji, a teenage girl whose disappearance turns everything upside down. Her father, Manager Kim, appears to be a discreet employee of a small savings bank. However, behind this façade lies an extremely dangerous past: that of a former North Korean special agent, now considered a living threat and blacklisted.
When his daughter disappears, Manager Kim has no choice. He reveals what he should never have revealed, even if it means triggering an uncontrollable spiral. The drama focuses on a man torn between two identities, who must confront his own past to save what is most precious to him.
Three former agents... who became fathers first and foremost
Choi Dae-hoon plays Sung Han-soo, once a taekwondo champion famous for a mythical 1,440-degree blow. Today, he runs a modest neighborhood dojo, trying to lead a simple life and protect his son from the shadows of his former life as a secret agent.
Yoon Kyung-ho completes the trio as Park Jin-chul, a once out-of-control battlefield legend, now proud to be known only as "Da Bin's father". Yet beneath this fatherly gentleness lies a man capable of shaking more than war memories.
With these 3 father figures linked by secrets they thought were buried, Manager Kim promises a brutal, emotionally-charged and adrenalin-fueled tale, in which family becomes the last refuge of the most dangerous men.
The drama is due for 2026 on SBS.
