tvN unveils the first stills from Cho Han-gyeol in " Undercover Miss Hong«, an office comedy set in the late 1990s. The series follows Hong Geum-bo (Park Shin-hye), an elite investigator for financial supervision, who is forced to infiltrate a brokerage firm under the identity of a 20-year-old rookie after discovering suspicious transactions.
An unwilling heir, torn between duty and freedom
Cho Han-gyeol interprets Albert Oh, maternal grandson of the president of Hanmin Securities, better known internally by the nickname «Director Oh.» An obsessive film buff, Albert dreamed of a career in cinema. But when his father discovered his plans, he was forced to return to Korea and thrust into the family business, far from the free and creative life he had imagined.
While he aspires to a carefree existence surrounded by movies, his well-oiled routine is disrupted by his encounter with Hong Jang-mi (Park Shin-hye), a 20-year-old employee who is as unpredictable as she is disruptive, whose actions wreak havoc in the rigid corporate environment.
A double charm and a budding love triangle
The recently published images perfectly illustrate Albert Oh's duality. On the one hand, his relaxed appearance (open shirt revealing a necklace, rolled-up sleeves, neat but unconventional hairstyle) evokes the free spirit of a film enthusiast. On the other, his formal attire, impeccable shirt and tie, remind us of the reality of his status as heir apparent, bound by family responsibilities.
Albert quickly becomes a key part of Hong Geum-bo's eventful undercover mission. Faced with the unexpected energy and slight disruption she brings to the company's daily routine, he develops a growing curiosity tinged with attraction. This dynamic becomes more complex with the presence of Shin Jung-woo (Ko Kyung-pyo), Hong Geum-bo's former lover, giving rise to a love triangle marked by unresolved emotions and a dangerously blurred emotional closeness.
Undercover Miss Hong will be broadcast from January 17 on tvN and on Netflix.
