Netflix has unveiled first images for his new romantic drama « Take Charge of My Heart« presented at the event Next on Netflix 2026 Korea. Adapted from a popular web novel, the series offers a romantic comedy as original as it is electrifying, centering on a man whose artificial heart is about to shut down... and a woman capable of recharging it.

Kim Young-kwang plays Baek Ho-rang, third-generation heir to a powerful conglomerate and manager of a leading hotel complex. A formidable strategist and natural candidate for the group's succession, he nevertheless hides a vital secret: behind his perfect image lies an artificial heart whose battery is beginning to fail dangerously. As power struggles intensify, his survival now depends on an unlikely encounter.

A woman capable of anything... except normal love
This meeting is Na Bo-bae, embodied by Chae Soo-bin. A talented but uninspired screenwriter, Bo-bae lives with an unusual peculiarity: ever since she was struck by lightning as a child, electric currents have been running through her body. As a result, she can't touch the hand of someone she loves without electrocuting them. As her professional contract draws to a close and her romantic scenario remains unfinished, she crosses paths with Baek Ho-rang, the only man immune to her electricity.

Between them, a strange but inevitable agreement begins to take shape. He needs her to survive. She discovers, for the first time, that a connection is possible without danger. Little by little, this atypical contract becomes the starting point for a relationship in which each learns to feel, love and trust again, in a mix of tension, humor and emotion.
With its original concept combining technology, romance and destiny, Take Charge of My Heart promises a modern romantic comedy, where the heart (artificial or otherwise) remains at the center of all decisions.
