MBC has unveiled the first images of « In Your Radiant Season »highlighting Chae Jong-hyeop in his new role. The romantic drama tells the story of the encounter between Sunwoo Chan, a man who approaches life as a permanent summer vacation, and Song Ha-ran (Lee Sung-kyung), a woman locked in an emotional winter after deep wounds.
Chae Jong-hyeop plays Sunwoo Chan, an animator at a world-renowned animation studio. On the surface, he's bright, warm and always smiling, able to turn small everyday moments into precious memories. But behind this sunny energy lies a past marked by a mysterious accident that profoundly changed his outlook on life.
A bright smile that hides deep wounds
The images released today showcase the charm of Sunwoo Chan. Her natural smile and gentle gaze immediately give off a comforting impression, giving her character an aura of boyfriend material assumed. Yet this cheerful façade is only part of him.
7 years ago, Sunwoo Chan narrowly survived a near-death experience. Since then, he has vowed to live each day as if it were a celebration, a way of keeping at bay the fear and scars he carries inside. But some truths remain buried, and the accident that turned his life upside down has yet to reveal all its secrets.
His encounter with Song Ha-ran acts as a trigger. As he gets closer to her, Sunwoo Chan begins to confront what he has long avoided, paving the way for a new stage in his life of revelation, healing and unexpected emotions.
