A new historical project could soon reunite Chae Jong-hyeop and Won Ji-an. The 2 actors are currently in talks to join the drama “Unnamed Lamp”a sageuk inspired by a webtoon of the same name.
On March 20, their respective agencies confirmed that they were «positively examining» their participation in this project broadcast on KBS2, without however making their presence official for the moment.
“Set in the troubled Joseon era, ”Unnamed Lamp" revolves around 2 twin sisters linked by an extraordinary destiny. Through them, the drama explores a story of royalty, betrayal and lingering grudges born of tormented minds.

Promising roles for the 2 actors
Won Ji-an has been approached to play the 2 twin sisters at the heart of the plot. A potentially demanding role, which could showcase her ability to play multiple personalities in a single story.
For his part, Chae Jong-hyeop is considering the role of Grand Prince Okryun, whose name is Lee Hyo, the king's second son. Unlike his elder brother, heir to the throne, this character is described as bold and combative.
Passionate about martial arts, he possesses exceptional fighting skills, having defeated an enemy general at an early age. A charismatic figure who could play a pivotal role in future conflicts.
Their first sageuk
If confirmed, “Unnamed Lamp” will mark the first foray into the historical genre for Chae Jong-hyeop and Won Ji-an since their debut.
A change of register that's already arousing curiosity, given the project's blend of historical, supernatural and dramatic elements.
No broadcast date has yet been announced for the drama.
