The new romantic series Spring Fever (working title), due in the first half of 2026, continues to make news with the announcement of 3 new cast members: Cha Seo-won, Cho Jun-young and Lee Jae-in join Ahn Bo-hyun and Lee Joo-bin in this project combining romance, introspection and human warmth in the heart of the Korean countryside.
Adapted from the best-selling web novel, Spring Fever follows the journey of Yoon Boma teacher marked by the wounds of the past, who leaves Seoul to make a new start in a small village called Sinsu. Cold and distant on her arrival, she gradually opens up to life again... thanks in particular to Seon Jae-kyua man as unpredictable as he is endearing.
The drama will be directed by Park Won-gukknown for his modern style in Marry My Husband or Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist, and written by Kim Ah-jungThe Secret Life of My Secretary.
A secondary cast rich in personalities
In this bucolic setting, interactions promise to be intense, especially with the arrival of Cha Seo-wonwho will play Choi Yi-juna lawyer as elegant as he is enigmatic, from Jae Kyu's past. His destiny also crosses that of Yoon Bom, foreshadowing a love triangle with many twists and turns.
Cho Jun-young (seen in Crushology 101) will lend his features to Han GyeolSeon Jae-kyu's bright, dynamic nephew. A model student at Sinsu High School, he develops a close relationship with Yoon Bom, adding a touch of freshness to the story.
Finally, Lee Jae-in (seen this year in Our Unwritten Seoul) will play Choi Se-jinthe eternal runner-up, who came to Sinsu hoping to shine in a more tranquil setting... only to come up against an unexpected rival, Han Gyeol, for better or for worse.
A bittersweet story of laughter and rebirth
Spring Fever promises to be an emotional romance tinged with humor and nostalgia, with a rural setting conducive to sincere relationships and soul-searching. The contrast between the peaceful pace of village life and the inner turmoil of the characters should appeal to a wide audience.
