Netflix has unveiled the main poster and trailer for " Cashero" his new superhero series based on the eponymous webtoon. An action-comedy in which a civil servant's mundane daily life is transformed into a chaotic adventure when he discovers a power... as powerful as it is costly.
A hero in spite of himself, paid by the penny
Kang Sang-ungperformed by Lee Jun-hois a perfectly ordinary government employee, until the day he obtains an ability as absurd as it is ingenious: his strength increases according to the amount of money in his hand. In other words, every heroic act literally costs him a portion of his salary.
The main poster immediately sets the tone: Sang-ung appears with a swollen face and torn clothes, far from the traditional image of the invincible superhero. Around him, coins cascade down, illustrating his daily life as a broke hero. The tagline sums it all up: "Burn your salary to save lives."

At his side, his girlfriend Min-suk (Kim Hye-joon) seems completely overwhelmed, while 2 other characters intrigue: Byeon Ho-in (Kim Byung-chul), whose powers are triggered when he drinks, and Bang Eun-mi (Kim Hyang-gi), who develops telekinesis after consuming calories. A trio of superheroes... very unconventional.
A trailer as funny as it is chaotic
The trailer opens with a panicked Sang-ung realizing that every time he uses his powers, bills and coins fly around him. Caught off guard, he exclaims, "I'm not a puppet!" A comical reaction that reflects the absurdity of his new situation.
His daily life becomes even more complicated when Min-suk begs him to stop using his supernatural strength, reminding him that they need to save for their wedding and future home. But Sang-ung finds himself constantly confronted with situations where he has no choice but to act... even if it means emptying his wallet.
The situation is further complicated by the appearance of the Korea Association of Superpowered Individualsrepresented by Ho-in and Eun-mi, followed by the Criminals' Association, to which Ho-in and Eun-mi belong. Jonathan (Lee Chae-min), Joanna (Kang Han-na) and Jo Won-do (Kim Eui-sung). These criminals hunt down those with powers, plunging Sang-ung into even greater chaos.
A mix of absurd humor, offbeat action and social criticism, Cashero promises to be a refreshingly unique series.
Available on December 26 on Netflix.
